Good questions
A tiny Mac app with a tiny character in it. It sits on your screen with a headset and a keyboard, and reacts while you type.
No. It only counts key presses so it knows when to move. It never knows which keys, and nothing you type is saved or sent anywhere.
Never. There is no network code in it, no accounts and no analytics.
That is how macOS lets an app notice key presses in other apps. typytubby only counts key presses and left clicks. Without it, the character just sits there.
It floats above your windows on every Space, and your clicks go straight through it. Move it, resize it, or limit it to certain apps.
No. It only redraws when something changes. With Idle animations and Animated RGB lighting off it uses almost no CPU between keystrokes, and Pause hides it completely.
A Mac with macOS 13 Ventura or later.
It isn't out yet. This page will link to the download when it is.
Choose Quit typytubby from its menu bar icon, then delete the app.
